A NEW LAW FOR ANIMALS!!
Spire hutch with number
Dear ,
In January we’ll be supporting another attempt to get a law for better oversight of Iowa’s puppy mills!!
I’LL NEED YOUR HELP TO GET THIS DONE!!
I’ll be calling upon you to contact your state senator and representative to let them know how important animal welfare is to you. Our website will help make this easy; providing legislators’ email addresses and sample language.
BUT RIGHT NOW I NEED YOU TO DO SOMETHING VERY, VERY IMPORTANT!! AND IT’LL ONLY TAKE A MINUTE!
Please go to our website, www.iowavca.org, and signup using the Join Us window. You’ll receive a message stating that you’re already a member and you’ll be asked to reenter your email address. Please do this.

Then you’ll receive an email from the website asking you to indicate your “Interests”. In our case, the ‘interests’ are legislators.
You must indicate one senator and one representative. If you don’t know who your STATE senator and representative are there’s a link to a site where you can find out. (state legislators are toward bottom of list)

PLEASE PLEASE TAKE ONE AND A HALF MINUTES TO DO THIS! IF WE’RE GOING TO GET ANYTHING DONE TO HELP THESE DOGS I NEED YOU TO DO THIS!
Contact me with questions. Thanks!!

Charity Bingo- A Huge Success!

December 9, 2009

Our fundraiser event at Hamburger Marys December 7th, 09 was a huge success!
Thank you for all that attended.  It was a very easy going fundraiser for us, where we could sit, hang out, and make money for our cause!
AniMeals brought in close to $500.00 for the event.  The last charity to do the same bingo night fundraiser before us made $300.00, so we surpassed our goal!
I wanted to say a special thank you to our board member, Pauline for donating a $50.00 savings bond we were able to raffle off during Bingo.  I think that’s why we did so well!  The raffle was a great touch!  The gentleman who won donated it back to our cause, so we’ll get to use it again as a fundraising tool.
The crowd at Hamburger Marys was incredibly generous and helped out a lot.  I encourage you all to stop there and eat sometime, their food was great!
We plan to do a Charity Bingo night once a quarter through Hamburger Marys, so if you didn’t make it this time, hopefully we’ll see you next time.

Charity Bingo Night

December 4, 2009

Charity BingoAniMeals is having a Charity Bingo night  Monday, December 7th.
The event will take place at Hamburger Mary’s from 8pm-10pm.
It’s a great time to just relax, eat, play some bingo, and all the proceeds benefit AniMeals.  It’s a great opportunity for us!
We do not need any volunteers for the event, just your attendance would be appreciated!
Please pass this around, print the flier and post it anywhere you like!  I hope for a good turnout, the more people, the more fun it’s going to be!
We hope to see you all there!
Hamburger Marys is located at 222 Glenbrook Dr SE, behind Taco Johns and next to Home Depot.
